Titanic!

On the night of April 14, 1912, the Titanic hit an iceberg and sank. This is the full story. Why did the Titanic sink so quickly? Why did so many people die? What are the stories of all those people, young and old, rich or poor?

This book is based on a nonfiction accident on 1912. It is easy to read and won't take time to finish reading it. I recommend this book if you have never read or seen any story about the Titanic.

Charlie Babbitt thinks he will get a lot of money when his father dies. The money goes to someone he does not know. He is a man who lives in a special hospital, and is the brother Charlie never knew. The two men meet and this is the start of a surprising new life for both of them.

I chose this book because Tom Cruise made the cover of the book. This book is based on a film which was made in America in 1988. The story is about the brother's friendship. The main character gets in trouble many times, but he build a good relationship with his brother. I want to see this movie someday.

Seven

You ever heard of the Seven Deadly Sins, Mills?
Detective Someret has just seven more days before he retires. He wants to get through them as easily as possible. But when they find the body of the first victim he knows that isn't going to be easy. And Mills, his new partner, isn't going to make it any easier.

This book is based on the film starred by Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman. Before you read, you have to know Seven Deadly Sins(greed, gluttony, wrath, envy, sloth, pride and lust). The story and main character are very similar to Lethal Weapon. But I like it and enjoyed reading.

Braveheart

'Sons of Scotland, you have come here to fight as free men ... is you fight, perhaps you'll die. If you run, you may live for a time. But at what cost? ... I say we'll always be free!'
Braveheart is the true story of William Wallace, whose love for his country gave hope to his people.

This book is based on a film which was made in America in 1995.  I read this book because I have not seen this film and  I like Mel Gibson, who stars as the main character William Wallace. The story was not as fun as I expected because Mel Gibson is suitable for action movies, not war films like this. But I enjoyed this book and want to see the movie.

The Mill on the Floss

England - 1828 to 1840.
Maggie Tulliver is beautiful and intelligent. But she is lonely and unhappy.
Phillip Wakem loves her. But she cannot meet him. The Tulliver and the Wakems are enemies.
Then Maggie meets Stephen Guest. They fall in love. But Stephen is going to be married to Maggie's cousin.

From start to end, This story was very sad. The main characters caught in a flood and died at the end. I do not recommend this book for those who do not want to be sad. The good point is that each sentences are short, so I can read it easily. There are many pictures on this book, so it will help you to understand the story.

The Godfather

The Godfather is one of the best films ever made, with Marlon Barndo and Al Pacino.
Don Vito Carleone is Godfather of one of the richest families in New York. He is a gangster and his business is fear and murder. Carleone's son, Micheal wants a quiet life away from the family business. But slowly Micheal changes into the most dangerous gangster on them all ...

I think this book is fun because this is the story of underworld society. The main character decide to devote himself in underworld because of his family's death. Finally he become a top of the underworld society.

Spring Vacation

I went to driving school every day during spring vacation and I have finally graduated from there. Actually I don't want to go to driving school because it is too far from my home. It took about 1 hour to get there. After graduating from driving school, I went to a licence center to get driver's licence. Fortunately, I didn't fail the examination and finally get my driver's licence. I'm looking forward to driving and want to own my car in the future.
